Prior to starting The Klinkam Company in 1987, Craig Klinkam first worked as a carpenter and then advanced
to project manager of commercial construction projects for general contractors. During this time,
Craig received his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management from the University of Washington and his Masters in
Construction Engineering Management from Stanford University.

Craig brings almost 30 years of construction experience to assist facility managers and project owners
with planning, budgeting, contract negotiation, finance management, and construction administration.
Craig has taught project management courses through the Association of General
Contractors. He created and moderated a seminar on construction ethics for Stanford University graduates.
Craig is a member of the City of Seattle
Construction Codes Advisory Board and is a member of Seattle Four Rotary. He is a 1993 graduate of
Leadership Tomorrow, a program developing community leaders, and serves as a
member of the Board for Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County.
The author of several industry related articles, Craig recently toured China and shares his observations in
Learning a Lesson from Booming China
(Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, March 27, 2003).
